Goldstone, also known as “Aventurine Glass”, “Monkstone”, or “Monk’s Gold” is a man-made crystal composed of glass and copper or other metallic components to make a variety of colors including gold, purple, blue and green. There are several folk legends about its creation, either that it was accidentally invented by Italian monks in the 1600s, or was a product of alchemy. However, the earliest occurrence of Goldstone seems to be in 12th or 13th century Persia based on an Amulet that was found.
Blue Goldstone is believed to transmit healing energy and aid in learning. It can also help to soothe hypersensitivity, which makes it a great stone for empaths. Blue Goldstone is sometimes called the stone of ambition and can assist in attaining goals and encourage a positive attitude.
Blue Goldstone is associated with the Heart and Crown chakras, which govern compassion and foundations respectively.
